Security of whatever we manage to earn is an unstated fundamental right we all agree that we must be entitled to. After all we do not spend those hectic hours toiling to finish those extra heaps and bundles of files before the assigned deadlines, just to lose all our belongings to a petty thief or a burglar who strikes and asks for our car in the middle of the road at gunpoint. But considering the weak social and moral system that prevails in the society today, asking for security could prove to be too big and irrational a demand. So why not take a few steps independently in order to safeguard our hard earned money and valuables from the prying eyes of the burglars.

Technology today has advanced to unforeseen heights as numerous inventions have sprung up which make security a reality rather than a simple dream. Take for instance the evolution of the security cameras. They have now become extremely portable and the picture quality has improved tremendously, enabling them to become a part of the ‘security camera league’. Closed circuit television cameras have redefined the meaning of security in public frequented areas and made places like museums, art galleries, shopping stores and most of all banks armed against any person who might enter their premises with malicious intentions. Even if he has the courage to enter, alarm bells have now been developed and put into use which sound an alert well within time to avert any kind of a mishap.

In case you wish to protect your automobile, you could take some measures as well to safeguard your prized possession. Most of the petty thieves would strike for your stereo. In case you have installed a stereo with a removable face plate, carry it with yourself whenever you step out of your car. Also, do not think that just because you have a steering wheel lock in lace, you are safe and so is your car. Thieves today are equipped well enough to cut through all such shallow security equipments. A smarter method to protect your car would be using a starter disable switch. This is a relatively difficult safeguard to crack. Make sure that there is no kind of exposed wiring. Generally the thieves know and identify the wires corresponding to the car alarm and generally cut them and thus disable the car alarm. When it does not sound, there is no way it will deter the car thief from riding away in your vehicle. The biggest mistake that most of us would probably do is to leave their spare keys and registration and other important car documents in the car itself. While the spare key takes care of any inconvenience that might have occurred to the thief, the registration and other important documents help him to dispose off or sell the stolen car with utmost ease.

So be alert of your surroundings and invest in reliable security systems, it is worth the money.
